China Beverage Industry Association or CBIA was formed in the year 1993 under the initiative of the Ministry of Light Industry of China. The major beverage industries that come under the supervision of this organization are the Fruit and Vegetable Juice Commission, the Bottled Water Commission, the Marketing Commission, Carbonated Drink Commission and the Coffee and Tea Beverage Commission. Presently the organization is headed by Zhao Yali, who occupies the prestigious position of the Chairwoman of CBIA.
The primary aim of the organization is to improve as well as maintain the standard of beverages in China. The organization also takes up initiative to develop the technology used in beverage production. To provide the members of association with up to date knowledge the organization hosts many trade fairs. The China International Beverage Industry Exhibition On science and Technology will be hosted by CBIA IN November, 2012.
