The Asian Society of Transplantation was established in 1987 to support the exchange of clinical and scientific knowledge of transplantation for the benefit of patients and society in Asia. Along with the American Society of Transplantation as well as the European Society of Organ Transplantation, our organization has built strong foundation for the intimate relationship and collaboration among transplant physicians all over the world to advance patient care and expand innovation and scientific discovery Committed to leading the way in the 21st century, our society has actively held meetings for the career-long education of transplant surgeons, scientists and physicians as well as those who make the policy decisions that influence the practice and science of transplantation.
I am pleased that our society is already facing the 13th Congress of the Asian Society of Transplantation(CAST2013) which will be held in Kyoto, Japan from September 3rd to 7th 2013. I hope this off-line meeting will provide an excellent opportunity to engage in high quality of educational and social program for all participants.
